Right on time for Hannover Messe, ifm is making its IIoT platform moneo for the first time also available as a Software as a Service (Saas) subscription model for the launch markets Germany, the UK and the USA. moneo is a no-code IIoT platform and, thanks to its simplicity, follows the concept of enabling customers to act autonomously, increase machine availability, ensure process quality and optimise energy consumption.
The subscription-based offer provides customers with the familiar benefits of protecting systems from going into the red zone – now even easier online via moneo in the cloud. ifm takes over the operation, maintenance and servicing of the software, enabling customers to reduce internal IT costs and significantly speed up system integration. All of this is in line with ifm’s consistent sensor to cloud strategy, which aims to meet growing customer demand for simplified connectivity and the ability to visualise and access data from multiple locations in one system. As a service provider, ifm is responsible for ensuring that moneo is available to users around the clock.
All essential functions of the IIoT platform are combined in moneo IIoT Core. This includes the well-established OS, RTM and configure moneo modules, as well as the information points – whether online in the cloud or in the normal local on-premises environment. Whichever the case, moneo IIoT Core offers the same value proposition to seamlessly set parameters, collect, visualise and monitor sensor data.
The new offer is available as a subscription with 500 information points over a twelve-month period. It is complemented by the matching moneo edgeGateway and provided as a bundle. The edgeGateway is capable of recording and processing up to 500 process values per second in parallel. Using the example of classical pump monitoring, up to 35 pumps can be monitored in parallel for with four sensors. Together, the latter monitor around 14 process values. One process value corresponds to one information point. In standard mode this value is intelligently aggregated and transmitted to the cloud every 60 seconds. If required, values can be transmitted more frequently, expanded as required and plant monitoring can be scaled up across locations via additional connected edgeGateways.
New remote maintenance module
Also at Hannover Messe, a new product called moneo remoteConnect will be launched, which is suitable for remote machine maintenance and remote control technology. It is also a part of moneo IIoT Core, but will only be available as a cloud offer.
