Turck offers networked machine safety solutions especially tailored to the requirements of small to medium-sized systems. The Turck Safe Link safety protocol in combination with the TBEN-LL-4FDI-4FDX safety block I/O module allows you to build: Flexible and cost-effective distributed installation of safe control systems. The multi-protocol module supports Ethernet/IP, Profinet and Modbus TCP and uses the Turck Safe-Link protocol for safe intercommunication. The safety logic is implemented directly in the modules with safe inputs and outputs.
The networked modules enable a modular and scalable security architecture, which significantly reduces cabling efforts and installation times. Up to 31 modules can be networked in an application, and each module offers 127 diagnostic bytes for monitoring and fast troubleshooting.
Each module provides two bytes for safe input and output data and an additional two bytes for non-safe input and output bits for fieldbus communication with non-safety PLCs. Distributed installation of the modules reduces the need for a central control cabinet, simplifying both system maintenance and expansion.
ATEX Zone 2/22 approval makes the modules suitable for use in potentially explosive areas. This means that safety signals can be transmitted reliably even in harsh environments. The TBEN-LL-4FDI-4FDX Safe Block I/O Module is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2025.
