The new AX1000 from Beckhoff is a highly optimized servo amplifier that is fully integrated into the TwinCAT system. Despite its very compact design, it offers similar functionality to the larger AX series amplifiers.
The economy servo amplifier AX1000 offers an economical solution without sacrificing the highest technical standards. It is available in two different versions: one for the low power range with a single-phase supply of 1 x 230 V AC and one for the high power range with a three-phase supply of 3 x 400 V AC for currents from 1.65 A.
Despite its compact dimensions, the AX1000 integrates an integrated control power supply, intermediate circuit capacitors, ballast circuits and, in most variants, ballast resistors. The control voltage is generated by an integrated power supply from the intermediate circuit. Both models are available as one-axis and two-axis modules. Supported motor types are AM8000 synchronous servo motors with One Cable Technology (OCT), asynchronous motors and reluctance motors with or without feedback.
The AX1000 servo amplifier is fully integrated into the TwinCAT system via EtherCAT, offering the usual convenience for commissioning, operation and diagnostics. All tools available for the larger AX5000 and AX8000 amplifiers, such as TwinCAT Drive Manager 2, autotuning, Bode diagrams and cogging torque compensation, are also available for the AX1000 servo Drive.
