With the new Inline bus coupler for Modbus/TCP (UDP) IL ETH BK-PAC, Phoenix Contact is expanding the product portfolio for setting up remote I/O solutions in the control cabinet.
The bus coupler with IP20 protection supports all available Inline I/O modules, including the branching modules for opening a remote bus branch. It adds another network to the portfolio of the new compact Inline Bus Coupler generation.
The new bus coupler, each with two RJ45 ports, enables daisy chain cabling and automatically detects the network and local bus speed. Thanks to the firmware update capability, the latest firmware can always be installed on the device.
The bus coupler is connected to controllers for Modbus/TCP (UDP) or directly to a PC. In combination with a PC, programming and control can be carried out using high-level languages. Static information such as the technical data of the device as well as dynamic information such as the current local bus configuration can be called up via the integrated web-based management. To increase network security, individual, unused ports can be specifically blocked via web-based management.
