Rollon has developed the new H-Bot system specifically for applications that require precision and reliability in confined spaces. It features an innovative design with a single belt concept and double motor on the X-axis and ensures coordinated and precise movements in a very compact design. “With the introduction of H-Bot, Rollon continues its innovations in the field of linear motion and offers solutions that combine efficiency, precision and flexibility,” says Andrea Tosi, Chief Technology Officer at Rollon. “H-Bot was developed to meet the needs of industries that require high dynamics and at the same time extreme precision in movement.”
A lightweight, compact and efficient solution
The Cartesian robot consists of two X-axes and one Y-axis with aluminum profiles. It is driven by two fixed motors on the X-axis with a single belt that is driven by pulleys and is easy to tighten. By eliminating a motor on the Y-axis, the moving masses are significantly reduced, which reduces vibrations and enables high dynamics. A drive shaft between the two X-axes is not required.
The linear axes with toothed belt drive and recirculating ball guides achieve a maximum stroke of 2,500 mm on the X-axis and 1,500 mm on the Y-axis. Speeds of up to 5 m/s and accelerations of up to 50 m/s² with a repeatability of ±0.1 mm are possible in both axis directions. Lubrication can be carried out automatically via an optional lubrication system or manually via grease nipples.
Fast assembly
The assembly is horizontal and allows the integration of the Z-axis. The motors can be mounted on either the front or rear heads, both at the top and bottom. This allows the space requirement to be optimized and the system to be adapted to different application requirements. Various standard accessories such as leveling feet, fastening system, sensors for zero adjustment, axial interface kits for three types of gears, an automatic lubrication system and a cable chain for the Z-axis are included in the scope of delivery.
Gantry system with extreme versatility
The H-Bot is available in size 06 (profile cross-section: 64 mm) and is particularly suitable for handling loads of up to 10 kg – for example in the pharmaceutical industry, the food industry, laboratory automation, 3D printing and assembly, sorting and transfer processes. Thanks to its versatile configuration and high performance, the Cartesian robot adapts perfectly to different operating environments and offers a complete and advanced solution for modern linear motion requirements.
