Weidmüller announces the market launch of its latest power measurement modules for the u-remote I/O system. The four modules offer precise measurements, higher accuracy and seamless integration into existing automation systems.
The new power measurement series consists of four different modules:
- 1-A current transformer measurement
- 5-A current transformer measurement
- Rogowski coil measurement
- 333 mV measurement
The power measurement module was developed to meet the growing demand for precise power measurements in industrial applications. Compared to previous products, it is characterized by its speed and the high precision of the individual possible measurements.
The new power measurement module offers all common electrical measurement values. In addition to the cyclic transmission of the measurement values, up to 128 other values can be transmitted via the mailbox system. Thanks to the open interfaces, the new power measurement modules are seamlessly integrated into existing automation systems. The 11 u-remote fieldbus protocols also allow for heterogeneous device environments. Configuration and monitoring via a web server facilitates handling and fast installation and parameterization.
“With our new power measurement modules, our customers can meet the requirements within their application through converter measurements as well as Rogowski coil and mV measurements,” says Sascha Lambauer, Product Manager at Weidmüller. “We developed the power measurement modules to give our customers and ourselves a clear overview of the electrical data in the measured network.” This is extremely useful for monitoring energy infrastructure, machines and systems,” the expert adds.
The u-remote energy measuring module is part of Weidmüller’s u-mation automation portfolio. The company supports its customers in getting started with automation and industrial IoT with software and hardware ranging from sensors to the cloud.
