The 10Base-T1L SPE switch ensures reliable data transmission over distances of up to one kilometer. For comparison: conventional Ethernet based on RJ45 only reaches 100 meters. With a bandwidth of 10 Mbit/s, the performance is significantly higher than the RS485 standard over similar distances. Compared to other interfaces, Weidmüller’s 10Base-T1L SPE switch is not only more reliable but also provides a powerful network connection for industrial devices such as sensors. Provides data and power in minimal space
A great feature of the 10Base-T1L SPE switch is its support for Power over Data Line (PoDL) up to class 14. It can provide up to 50 watts of power to a single port on the switch. Features such as Serial Communications Classification Protocol (SCCP) and forced mode simplify the power setup for new devices.
SPE technology is particularly advantageous in areas where space is limited because both data and power flow over a single pair of wires, meaning only one cable needs to be laid.
