The fiber optic amplifiers of the P1XD series from the wenglor sensor group impress with their compact format and high flexibility and can be easily integrated into various applications. Configuration is easy to do on the device, while commissioning is fast and without the need for tools.

Thanks to the modular principle, plastic and fiber optic light guides as well as different sensor heads can be easily combined, ensuring a high level of adaptability. User-friendly operation via NFC, the weCon app or the sensor’s integrated display allows for quick and intuitive configuration. You can choose from different function principles, such as momentary transmitted light barrier or retroreflective light barrier.

Dynamic re-adjustment of the P1XD series fiber optic amplifiers ensures that the set switching distance is maintained. Dirt has no effect on the performance of fiber optic sensors. Thanks to the integrated jump detection, signal jumps are reliably detected, so there is no need to teach the environment.

A display that supports intuitive operation. Highly flexible fiber optic cables, flexible mounting options and a comprehensive portfolio of sensor heads allow for small bending radii, making fiber optic sensors ideal for confined spaces. Pink Light Mode and Intelligent Multi-Device Operation of the P1XD2 SeriesSome variants of the P1XD series offer significantly increased light output thanks to the innovative Pink Light Mode. Connecting red and blue emitter diodes in parallel increases the range.

The Pink Light Mode can be activated by the touch of a button, IO-Link or NFC. Models in the P1XD2 series also offer the option to operate the fiber optic amplifier as a standalone device or as a master or sub-device within a multi-device network. During the start-up process, the fiber optic sensor automatically knows which mode it is in and organizes the individual sensor units independently. This significantly reduces the installation effort and minimizes the possibility of errors. If requirements change, the fiber optic sensor can be removed and used as a stand-alone device – so the system remains flexible at all times.

The Highlights at a Glance:

  • Easy configuration using display, NFC or via IO-Link
  • Can be used in scanning, through-beam or retro-reflex principle
  • Suitable for tight spaces, high temperatures and detection of smallest parts
  • Innovative pink light mode to increase range
  • Flexible use as a stand-alone unit or in a multi-unit combination
  • Integrated IO-Link interface
