With the compact PMC SI6 and PMC SC6 servo amplifiers from Pilz, drive-integrated safe motion can now be easily implemented up to the highest safety level PL e. This is guaranteed by safety functions integrated directly in the drive. Motion monitoring functions are available for this purpose.

Both servo amplifiers feature Safe Motion and Motion Monitoring functions according to EN 61800-5-2 to PL e. Security is ensured by evaluating internal system variables. A second encoder is not required to achieve SIL 3 or PL e. A solution with only one standard feedback system reduces overall costs.

Safe motion functions include numerous safe stop, motion and brake functions such as SS1, SS2, SOS and SLS.
With FSoE (FailSafe over EtherCAT), users can quickly and easily integrate the solution into their machine safety concept. FSoE also ensures safe intercommunication between drives. Connection via FSoE reduces wiring and increases security when building applications. Commissioning is therefore quicker.

PMC SI6 and PMC SC6 servo amplifiers can be used for multi-axis applications in small to large machines and systems.
The stand-alone drive controller PMC SC6 is suitable for compact machines and systems with 2 to 4 axes. Scalable multi-axis solutions with PMC SI6 servo amplifiers are used for machines and systems with 4 or more axes. These axis modules in series technology are supplied with energy via the central supply module PMC PS6. This means that no separate power supply is required and users enjoy a cost-saving solution.
