With its “EasyLine” series, Provertha has developed an X-coded M12 connector solution that can be assembled and is one of the most compact on the market. The small number of individual parts ensures that the 8-pin plug-in connections can be assembled quickly and easily within very short assembly times. As the cable connectors allow individual cabling in the field, users can respond flexibly to given installation situations, especially in applications where the cable length is difficult or impossible to determine in advance. This saves them expensive special solutions and long delivery times. All EasyLine cable connectors guarantee high transmission performance (10 Gbit/s with up to 500 MHz) according to the TIA-568 and ISO/IEC-11801-Cat-6A specifications.
Assembly easier than ever
The EasyLine cable connectors allow easy connection of four differential wire pairs using secure crimp contacts. New contact holders with white printing make cutting, assigning and snapping in the wire pairs easy. The mounting orientation of the contact holder to the insulating body is marked by an arrow additionally printed on it. The product name EasyLine illustrates to customers the “ease of use” approach that has been consistently implemented in the development of this connector solution. Users can assemble individual and compact cabling solutions when space is limited or when a very special cable length outside the standard is required. Alternatively, they would have to use overmoulded cables in the length they require, which often leads to expensive special solutions with long delivery times.
EasyLine M12 connectors are suitable for high-speed networks in industrial automation, as well as for switches and vision control systems that require data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s. High requirements in terms of shock, vibration and flammability in demanding applications, such as railway technology, are met. The locking screw features an integrated anti-vibration device that withstands the challenges of harsh industrial and railway operations.
Straight connector version ideal for transfer interfaces
In the first development step, a straight EasyLine version is available in a 180 degree pin design with cable crimp flange. This is ideal for M12 patch cables in applications where customised lengths are required in tight cable feedthroughs. To implement transfer interfaces on a control cabinet wall or a robotics interface, a version for rear wall mounting can be realised on request. Versions with the innovative Provertha mini cable gland are currently being planned and are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2023.
