In 2021, SIEB & MEYER AG was able to increase sales by 60 % compared to the year before. The business unit CNC controls achieved the lion’s share of sales but the drive technology unit with its frequency converters for high-speed motors and high-dynamic servo amplifiers also contributed to the record sales.
“The year 2021 was not only affected by the COVID crisis but also by a global shortage of material,” said Markus Meyer, CEO at SIEB & MEYER AG. “Therefore, we are very proud of the excellent performance.” In spite of the difficult general conditions, the Lueneburg based company was able to maintain delivery capacities and cover the increased demand of the customers. “We owe this mainly to our motivated employees,” Markus Meyer pointed out. Throughout the year 2021, SIEB & MEYER has further recruited personnel to provide best customer service also in the future: compared to the year before, the company employs 22 % more staff now.
In parallel with the continuous development of the product range, SIEB & MEYER is actively optimizing the production operations at present. This endeavor aims at a medium-term CO2 neutrality of the production. A new 300 kWp photovoltaic system including 120 kWh battery storage, which is installed at the beginning of 2022, will contribute to that aim. In addition, the company built 10 charging stations for the electric cars of employees.
