SIMATIC Drive Controller with TIA Portal V17/V2.9.2

With TIA Portal V17 and the new firmware version V2.9.2 (S7-1500) and V5.2 SP3 HF5 (SINAMICS Integrated), an extended range of functions is available for the SIMATIC Drive Controller.

The following functions are available with TIA Portal V17 and the new firmware:

SIMATIC S7-1500 Firmware V2.9.2 / TIA Portal V17

Enhanced functionality of the integrated fail-safe technology CPU:

• New Motion Control function library in Version V6.0 (details see entry 109793950)
• CPU 1507D TF: Reduction of minimum application cycle time to 250 µs
• Setting the card type using the FUNCT key (without Engineering System and without card reader)
• S7-PLCSIM Advanced supports SIMATIC Drive Controller
• Various usability enhancements

1. Web server (design adjustments; LED status for drive is displayed)
2. License dialog SINAMICS Integrated: For better clarity, SINAMICS Technology Extension licenses are only displayed if the corresponding Technology Extension has been installed in Startdrive.
3. Parameterization technology I/Os: Link to connected technology objects
4. When you insert a Drive Controller: Uniform numbering of the Drive Controller objects (PLC, SINAMICS Integrated, Drive Controller Group, etc.) for better transparency
5. Optimizations in the setting of the clock system (automatic settings by the Engineering System)

The following behavior has been fixed for the Drive Controller:

• High-sporadic reset of the real-time clock to initial time after power OFF/ON
