As part of Siemens’ leading automation concept, Totally Integrated Automation (TIA), the intelligent SIRIUS 3RC7 connection modules seamlessly integrate into your existing automation environment. SIRIUS 3RC7 is part of the SIRIUS Modular System, a comprehensive portfolio of industrial switching technologies. “Transparency all the way down to the field level is becoming increasingly important. However, many devices are not connected to automation systems, which means important data is lost. Digitalizing the field level creates a new dimension of transparency and enables data-driven decision-making,” said Andreas Maté, CEO Electrical Products, Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
Various feeder parameters for consumers can be recorded and directly evaluated, including voltage, current, phase asymmetry and the number of overload trips. Integrated diagnostics help to identify and correct errors more quickly. This data can be used, for example, in Senseye Predictive Maintenance, Siemens’ comprehensive solution for predictive maintenance. It uses artificial intelligence to check for abnormal power fluctuations that indicate defects. This significantly increases the safety of planning system maintenance, availability and cost-effectiveness.
Thanks to the full integration into TIA, users receive current status information in the operating software. In addition, if special apps such as Node-RED are used, they can access a dashboard to quickly identify bottlenecks. This avoids downtimes and increases system availability.
The intelligent SIRIUS 3RC7 connection modules are perfectly integrated into the compact SIMATIC ET 200SP peripheral system and other common automation systems. To benefit from the easy commissioning, individual scalability and maximum flexibility of SIMATIC ET 200SP, up to 16 consumer feeders can be connected per BA-Send modular bus adapter.
The intelligent SIRIUS 3RC7 connection modules in cooperation with the compact SIMATIC ET 200SP peripheral system for SIRIUS switching devices and control cabinets ensure reliable and efficient data exchange between OT and IT. By complementing the existing SIRIUS portfolio (modular system) with the new intelligent SIRIUS 3RC7 connection modules, a new extension product has been created: the intelligent SIRIUS consumer feeder. The SIRIUS Intelligent Consumer Feeder is a pre-assembled digital feeder consisting of SIRIUS 3RV2 circuit breakers, SIRIUS 3RT2 contactors and an intelligent connection module.
