In the world of industrial automation and robotics, efficiency is a decisive factor. With the new liteECO® INTEGRATED series, SMELA GmbH is bringing a revolutionary solution to the market that offers maximum performance with minimal space requirements. These actuators set new standards as compact electromechanical alternatives to pneumatic short-stroke cylinders – and are therefore ideal for applications in production lines, machine tools and packaging systems.
All SMELA liteECO® series impress with their innovative and patented arrangement of motor and mechanics. This clever design enables considerable space savings: the actuator is up to 80% more compact than conventional electrical solutions. Thanks to the highly efficient servo motors with integrated positioning sensors, both simple and complex movement profiles can be implemented precisely – be it for fixing, adjusting, locking or executing any movement sequence.
Focus on sustainability and efficiency
An outstanding advantage of the liteECO® series is its energy efficiency: the servo motor saves up to 90% energy compared to pneumatic systems. This makes the new actuators not only more cost-effective to operate, but also significantly more environmentally friendly. In addition, the series is designed for durability and easy maintenance. Simple refurbishment – i.e. replacing worn-out mechanics – extends the life cycles of the drives and conserves resources, which enables both sustainable and cost-efficient solutions.
The technical highlights of the LE-INTEGRATED actuators
In addition to the servo motor and linear mechanics, the INTEGRATED actuators also offer an integrated drive controller for 24 volts and optionally 48 volts operating voltage. Flexible control is via EtherCAT, CANopen or digital IOs, which enables seamless integration into a wide variety of automation systems.
In addition, attention was paid to a compact design that also proves itself in high industrial requirements. The actuators are sealed to protection class IP65 and equipped with conventional M8 and M12 circular connectors in the codings A, B, L, and Y. The maximum stroke of the actuators is 85 or 115 millimeters, ensuring precise positioning within the entire stroke range.
CONCLUSION: More space, minimal energy losses and maximum performance for your applications
Like the liteECO® BASE series, the INTEGRATED series combines the advantages of electric drives with important functions for the highest industrial demands in an extremely compact installation space. With this new series, SMELA GmbH offers a future-oriented solution that significantly improves flexibility, energy efficiency and longevity in automation.
