The annual highlight of the automation industry, SPS – Smart Production Solutions, will take place this year in Nuremberg from 12 to 14 November 2024. For more than 30 years, this successful international platform has been a meeting point for exhibitors and stakeholders from all over the world – and there is good reason to expect a repeat this year.

As a leader in the automation industry, SPS will provide information on the latest products, solutions and innovations for three days, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the fast-changing world of automation. Around 1,200 companies from the industry will exhibit in 16 exhibition halls totaling 125,000 square meters. International leading companies in the field of automation will again be present this year, such as Bosch Rexroth AG, Siemens AG, Rockwell Automation GmbH, Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., YASKAWA Europe, Advantech Europe B.V., ABB AG, igus GmbH, STMicroelectronics International NV, Contrinex Sensor GmbH, Exor International S.p.A. and Microchip Technology Ireland Limited. The fair will also attract many newcomers exhibiting at SPS for the first time.

And once again this year, SPS is a must-have for many exhibitors. Steffen Winkler, CSO of the Automation business unit at Bosch Rexroth AG and chairman of the SPS Exhibitor Advisory Board, explains why his company is participating again this year as an exhibitor:

“SPS 2023 was a complete success for Bosch Rexroth, with visitor numbers up by more than 40 percent. For us and our ctrlX OS ecosystem partners, SPS is the most important trade fair in the world. In 2024, we will be there again with many innovations for ctrlX AUTOMATION, ctrlX OS and ctrlX World. We look forward to showcasing the latest innovations and developments for our platforms and shaping the future of automation technology together with our partners.”

“As the world’s largest company specializing in industrial automation and digital transformation, the SPS trade fair is an important event for Rockwell Automation, allowing us to connect with visitors and showcase our innovative hardware, software and services. We optimize production, accelerate growth through transformation, increase resilience, empower people and promote sustainability. Visitors to our stand in Hall 3C will be able to see how our solutions help our customers shape the future of industrial processes,” said Сири … Uwe Cater, Director Germany, explains.

SPS – the industry’s must-attend event

According to statistics from last year’s event, 13,851 (28%) of the 50,081 visitors were international travelers.

Due to its wide range of automation providers and its highly specialized nature, SPS is generally described as a must-attend event.

For Lucas Moreno, CTO of Tecnopower TML SL in Spain, SPS is the highlight event, and he describes it as “one of the most important industrial automation trade fairs in Germany.”

Robert Branson, VP of Sales and Marketing at Wallace Electronic Sales in the United States, also had a very positive experience visiting SPS last year. As an American, it is valuable to see what the European control and automation industry is doing. This is very valuable for my company and customers. ”

First impressions of SPS 2023 from India were also positive. “I was very impressed with my first visit to SPS!” I was able to gain many insights into industry trends and make contacts with partners and customers. We will definitely be back,” said Pratheesh Gangadhar, Engineering Manager, Texas Instruments India.
