Yamaha Robotics Factory Automation Section has appointed Tatsuro Katakura as Sales Manager for Europe. The 11-year veteran of Yamaha Robotics FA Section joins from the Company’s branch in Thailand, where he managed sales for Southeast Asia and India for the last five years.

“I am excited to join the European team at this time of great opportunity in the region,” he said. “We have a strong product portfolio, sales network, and technical skills to deliver great value for customers, leading to sustained growth.”

Welcoming him to the team, based in Neuss, Germany, branch manager Yasushi Miyake said, “Mr. Katakura will help us build on the achievements we have realized in the European market as we continue working with our customers and partners to deliver great solutions, expand our presence, and strengthen our position.”

Yamaha Robotics FA Section markets the Company’s portfolio of industrial robots, which are used across industries such as electronics, automotive, pharmaceuticals, food production, textiles, and logistics. They include SCARA, cartesian, collaborative (cobot), and single-axis machines covering a range of sizes and lifting capacities, with controllers, programming and simulation software, and accessories including the RCXiVY2+ machine-vision system.

The Section’s outreach to sales partners and system integrators creates innovative and flexible industrial automation solutions, leveraging the speed, precision, and reliability of Yamaha robots. Thousands are deployed worldwide, in applications such as assembling consumer electronic products and automotive parts, food processing, and packaging products such as medicines and confectionery. The team continues to develop new solutions such as the end-of-line handler for EV battery testing and assembly, to be demonstrated at Motek 2023 in Stuttgart, October 10-13.
