The international Surface Technology and Industrial Automation pavilions are among the innovations scheduled for the first Brazilian edition of the main industrial expo focused on force and fluid transmission segment.

An industrial event consolidated in Germany, China, Russia, India and Turkey, the MDA is considered the main international expo focused in electrical, mechanical, fluid-hydraulic and pneumatic force transmission, which will be hosted in São Paulo between March 19 and 22, at the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes. In its Brazilian debut, one of the highlights of the MDA SOUTH AMERICA will be themed pavilions: the Surface Technology, where all surface technologies will be exhibited, covering segment such as galvanoplasty, plasma lining, manipulation and automation systems, cleaning and pre-treatment, painting and lining, environmental protection, and plants for specific purposes, as well as testing, measurement and analysis equipment. In the area named Industrial Automation, presentation themes will be new industrial automation systems, robotics, laser technology and services, micro-systems technology, micro-sensors, optic fiber, nanotechnology, electrical systems, lighting, electroelectronic tests, measuring equipment, industrial IT and software, voice recognition, videoconference and operational software.

“Emerging markets require efficient business platforms. Even though nowadays everything is handled via network, business fairs are important meeting points for the main players of key markets. We created these platforms – around the world – based on our network, our extensive experience and strong commercial brands,” said Tessa Marheineke, global Fairs director of the German Deutsche Messe AG – the largest promoter in the world and owner of the MDA brand.

International platforms

“Both of these MDA pavilions provide a high synergy with the audience and represent an excellent opportunity, especially for small and mid-sized companies to experience the advantages of promoting products, services and technology,” said Constantino Bäumle, director at Hannover Fairs Sulamérica, Brazilian subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG, responsible for organizing the promoting the MDA SOUTH AMERICA.

According to Bäumle, both pavilions were supported by VDMA – German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association and ZVEI – German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association. “The Surface Technology and Industrial Automation Pavilion are samples of expos that take place biannually at Hannover Messe – Industrial Expo held in Hanover, Germany. International versions of such expos were also exported to other emerging economies, and Brazil’s current economic situation places us next in line for the location in which major international companies wish to invest and do business,” he explains.

The first edition of the MDA SOUTH AMERICA will take place simultaneously to the second edition of CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA – International Materials and Logistics Fair, also organized by Hannover Fairs Sulamérica, and whose first Brazilian edition was considered a major success by its organizers. According to Bäumle, collective MDA stands ensure segment professionals the opportunity of interacting with exhibitors and audiences expected for both events, as well as making full use of the structure and international know-how offered by them.

The executive estimates that the first edition of the MDA SOUTH AMERICA will receive approximately 80 exhibitors, from 20 countries, occupying pavilion 2 of the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes, in São Paulo The 2013 CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA, on the other hand, expects 200 exhibitors, from 25 countries. “Combined, both fairs will host around 280 exhibitors throughout an exhibit area of 35,000 m²,” said Bäumle

About the MDA

The MDA – Motion, Drive & Automation expo occurs every two years, as an integral event of Hanover Messe, leading global industrial technology expo hosted annually in Hanover, Germany. It is an expo specialized in the transmission of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic forces, as well as compressed air and vacuum technologies. MDA relies on versions adapted to emerging markets such as China, India, Russia, Turkey and, as of next year, South America as well.

The MDA SOUTH AMERICA will debut in Brazil between March 19 and 22, 2013, in pavilion 2 of the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes [Imigrantes Expo Center], em São Paulo, simultaneously to the second edition of the CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA – International Material Movement and Logistics Expo.

The event is hosted and organized by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Fairs Sulamérica, supported by Abimaq – Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association, as well as international associations representing the industrial segment, such as: VDMA- German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association, NFPA – North American Hydraulics and Pneumatic Association; AGMA – American Gear Manufacturers’ Association; ASSOFLUID – Italian Hydraulic Component and Equipment Commerce and Industry Association; and TFPA- Taiwan Hydraulic and Pneumatic Association.
