From 8 to 10 October 2024, experts will come together at VISION in Stuttgart to present and discuss trending topics and innovations in the image processing industry.

Which technologies will have a decisive impact on the future of the industry? VISION will provide interesting insights into trending topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), hyperspectral imaging, embedded vision and 3D.

Hyperspectral imaging in combination with AI opens up various fields of application, such as medical technology, the food industry and the recycling industry.

Lars Rosenkvist Fenger, CEO of Qtechnology A/S, emphasized: “Hyperspectral imaging with higher spectral resolution enables highly accurate material identification. Less than 5% of plastics are recycled worldwide. However, with hyperspectral imaging, all kinds of plastic polymers can already be separated. This means that recycling plastics is an option. Qtechnology A/S has a targeted approach to AI and hyperspectral cameras. The company will be launching a new hyperspectral camera at VISION. They are one of the best players in their class, so we want to show them to the world. ”

Embedded vision technology provides intelligent application solutions by enabling extremely compact and highly efficient image processing systems.

Jan-Erik Schmitt, VP of Sales at Vision Components, provided his insight: VISION is the leading event for the image processing industry and is becoming increasingly important in the field of embedded vision. Vision Components is 110% dedicated to embedded vision and at this year’s VISION we will be showcasing the latest trends such as MIPI connectivity to processors, expansion accessories, innovative features and a range of FPGA accelerators. ”

The 3D sensor will be used in applications in the fields of electronics and e-mobility, such as surface inspection. It is expected to be launched in October. “VISION has the largest concentration of experts for industrial image processing. Users can find all the technologies for their applications in one place. AT will be showcasing its new 3D sensor series XCS, which was developed together with electronics OEMs, during VISION. XCS uses high-quality laser line projection and precise optics to detect the smallest details on surfaces. Speed and software solutions also play a key role in the field of 3D, so we will be addressing these topics in particular,” says Daniel Seiler, CEO of AT – Automation Technology GmbH.

Special highlights in the VISION Trend Topics area will be the presentation of the Industrial VISION Days, Scientific VISION Days and the VISION Awards. This is the world’s largest industrial image processing lecture forum where you can experience the technologies and applications that will shape the future of industrial image processing.
