Wandelbots and robotics manufacturer FANUC are launching their newest development: FANUC-branded robots can now be controlled via the Wandelbots Operating System. The solution will be presented from June 27-30, 2023, at automatica, the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics in Munich, Germany.
With the integration of FANUC robots, Wandelbots has reached a significant milestone: FANUC industrial robots (M-10 and M-20 series) and cobots from the CRX series are now controlled with an application-specific front end via the Wandelbots Operating System. This new solution is already being used with a grinding application by various customers. The new development will be presented with a CRX25 at automatica 2023.
A Universal Platform for Robotics
Building on the Wandelbots Operating System, the Wandelbots Developer Platform is being developed to be used as a universal platform for software developers and programmers and to make the development of robot applications as simple as possible. “We want to make robotics and AI accessible to everyone and promote a hardware-independent future,” said Christian Piechnick, co-founder and CEO of Wandelbots.
“Innovative Technologies on Which Our Future Stands”
The Wandelbots Operating System combines virtual and physical robotic environments and enables users to automate processes in their companies – regardless of the existing hardware setup. It is compatible with a wide range of robots, sensors and automation devices, enabling rapid implementation. “2023 is a crucial year for us because it marks the beginning of an exclusively software-oriented strategy,” explains Piechnick. “Together, the Wandelbots Developer Platform and Wandelbots Operating System build the innovative technologies on which our future stands.”
Wandelbots will attend automatica June 27-30, 2023 and will be present at two booths:
– Wandelbots & FANUC: Hall B6, Booth 231
– Wandelbots & Nvidia: Hall B5, Booth 411
