Yamaha Robotics Factory Automation section will demonstrate new robots and applications at Automatica 2023 in Munich, June 27-30, highlighting superior flexibility, productivity, and quality in automotive battery production and diverse industrial processes.
A special focus on SCARA robots will feature the YK1200X, which is designed for high accuracy, with arm length up to 1200mm and payload up to 50kg. Visitors can see the YK1200X in action, handling prismatic cells for electric vehicles in an application co-developed with system integrator JP Industrieanlagen. “Our demonstration shows how battery makers can increase output, production quality, and cost-effectiveness,” commented Jumpei Ninomiya, Sales Manager for Yamaha’s FA business in Europe. “This timely solution meets critical market demands as the deadlines for game-changing legislation on car production are drawing nearer.”
Two demonstrations featuring LCMR200 linear modules will show how production lines can move items simultaneously in x, y, and z directions, forwards, backwards, with electronically programmable speed, acceleration, and stop positions. Owners can utilise this uniquely flexible transport to overcome floorspace limitations, increase factory agility, and rapidly scale and adapt production.
In addition to all this, Yamaha will take the wraps off its latest cobot in a presentation that’s sure to be popular with visitors, delivering a chocolate hit from a well-known brand. Visitors can also see latest RCX-Studio graphical software for programming single- and multi-robot systems.
Looking forward to the event, Jumpei Ninomiya added, “We are bringing new and engaging demonstrations to Automatica this year. They show how we can boost speed, efficiency, and flexibility in numerous industries including automotive, food preparation, pharmaceuticals, electronic assembly, general manufacturing, packaging, and logistics.”
Yamaha Robotics is at Hall B5, booth 314, Automatica 2023, Messe München, June 27-30.
