Yamaha Robotics Factory Automation Section gathered its European network of agents to the branch headquarters in Germany for the annual distributor meeting on February 8, to discuss strategy, sales, and successes.
This year’s program included presentations by distributors and technical partners, invited to share their insights and experiences into specific aspects of the product range and the company’s outreach program to system integrators.
The meeting examined in detail Yamaha’s activities with system integrators, discussing highlights of the program and notable successes. “By working closely with system integrators, we are bringing the superior capabilities and usability of Yamaha robots directly to Europe’s production lines,” commented Branch Manager Ai Nagakubo.
Other key topics included the LCMR200 flexible transport system, as agents Seika Sangyo and Atti described recent integration projects completed for their customers. Also, Yamaha’s FA Section Group Manager, Tatsuro Katakura, gave insights into the special capabilities of LCMR200. The complete system includes standard conveying units as well as horizontal circulation, vertical circulation, and traversing units that further enhance flexibility. A technical analysis, presented by Yamaha, described the latest tools and techniques for simulating LCMR200 setups and the new web configurator that helps tailor each setup to fulfil customer requirements.
The distributors also learned more about Yamaha SCARA and cartesian robots through technical descriptions presented by Tatsuro Katakura, leveraging his experience with Yamaha FA businesses in Japan and Thailand. The meeting also studied features of the forthcoming Yamaha cobot.
Concluding the meeting, the Yamaha team presented the annual Sales Achievement Award to Seika Sangyo for its performance throughout the whole of Europe, and the Special Contribution Award to Renex, distributor for Poland, Austria, Romania, and the Balkans. ATTI of Italy received the Top Service Award.
